Simple straight forward audio recorder and converter. Easy to understand and use. Simple no fuss, no frils, just easy to get the job done. Great piece of software.

Its easier to use than the previous version.

I am getting sick of audacity so I anted to see what else was available. I can’t believe I paid twnty bucks for software that doesn’t allow you to pick an audio input. This is a joke program to con people out of twnty bucks. Don’t be conned. Audacity is infinitely better than this software because you don’t have to shell out twenty bucks to see the features of audacity.

Currently working on version 2 of my iOS game, and this editor is the best all-around audio program Ive found for all the sound work Im doing. A few more sound effects would be nice, but the addition of plugins will probably address that. Love the fact that it uses little-endian by default when saving to .caf files. Overall, very pleasant and elegant UI. Great job.

I have been using this utility to record and convert old Reel to Reel tapes I made 30 years or more ago to digital audio files. This utility has performed exceptionally well for me. Granted, there is a small learning curve to get through, but once you learn some of it’s many features, it’s a jewel to use. Yes, you need a fast hard drive, and ample RAM and processor speed to make use of it, but even on a MacBook Pro, it’s performed well. Yes, as the Manual says, if you want to record audio from a online source you will need to install “Sunflower” a free utility. I had no problems obtaining and installing this utility. Yes, there is little information on how to make use of this addition utility, but with a little experimenting one can figure it out. Vector provides and good manual with lots of useful information and a link to the Sunflower utility WEB site. The Sunflower files have been moved, but there is a link to the new site at the old one. The more I use this utility, the more I like it. It’s really a bargain for it modest cost. I have used Vector-3 to record over a hundred sound files, and it has performed very well. If you are not technically inclined, then this App may not be for you…However, if you are willing to spend some time and learn, it’s a nice tool. The interface design is very easy to pickup and learn. The authors of Vector have spent a lot of time and effort make it easy to use, and with the capabilities it has it’s worth every penny that they are making it available for…Fine utility, Recommended. -BC

. . . . they decide to fix some things: -every time I delete something, the tracker flies around everywhere! Sometimes it won’t move, other times it’ll skip ahead, other times it’ll go to the beginning -saving has to be faster -has to save in the background when your working on a project (wasted an hour of editing because vector decided to crash) -started labeling the file I was going to change and when I changed the file type, it deleted everything All and all, 1.5 stars but I’ll be nice and round up. I can see this app being super useful IF the fix it.

Bought the app, crashed 7 times in 2 days- loosing all my work. Worst was now the important files I was working on are permenantly UNSUABLE! BE CAREFUL! I reached out to them with no response. They have a bug and you can loose your recordings. Make sure to only work on copies, or an earlier version, or another product.

This would be a pretty slick app if you could fix the crashing every few moments. Basically try this: - open a clip - copy a portion - create a new clip (not with parameters) - paste the copied part - do not save - play it - play it again - and play it again Usually on the 2nd play it will crash. For me, this means the app crashes every couple minutes during use. In this way, it is a one-star app. If you can fix the crash, it will be a 5-star app and I will certainly post an updated review here. I have emailed support separately on this as well.

I needed to edit some music for a presentation and this made it easy. The editing and exporting tools are top notch. Worth every penny.

Been using for a year and half. It lives up to all the things it says it does. I really dont have anything bad to say about and have never had a problem with it at all, and am still enjoying it!

This product remains an excellent match for our needs, after more than 1 1/2 years of use. It has enabled us to record and maintain over 1,000 audio files, including conversions to mp3 format. It has exceeded our expectations, and is a delight to work with. We coud not have done the projects we’ve already developed, and those currently in development, efficiently, without this application.

I love Vector 3. I have no reason to doubt it with frequent updates, and easy maneuvering , it is the perfect app for me as I record Audio books, voice overs for radio, TV and movies. The fact that I can also record live piano music and edit performances makes this the ideal app for my studio. The first Vector needed improvement, and the tech team most definietly brought their best game to the fixes…they addressed all the concerns that users were targeting, and they are prompt and efficient with their actions. I love this app, I can’t see any reason to shop for another or try to figure out another more touted app. This is the one for me.

Ive used quite a bit of professional music mastering software. My favorite is the now nearly obsolete Bias Peak Pro. I was very pleased to discover Victor 3. It’s nearly as good as Peak Pro. Not only this, it can fly though editing like the SR-71 Blackbird flies though the air. It’s incredibly easy to use. For all non-professionals, I highly recommend this nifty product.

I really like this software. In fact, the interface is absolutely perfect, simple, intuitive, minimalist and above all effective. Since the demise of the "Peak" software, I was lacking a software for editing stereo. Vector is exactly what I wanted. Of course I use other software for multitrack recording, but once my tracks reduced to two, "Vector" takes over brilliantly. Super! Denis Ferragne Music teacher for 30 years.

Crushes when I try to open the previously eddited file. what a waste of money!

Easy to use and intuitive. I used the express version to trim and edit all my aiff and mp3 sounds for my apps to improve performance. So i bought the full version to help support the developer.

Great recorder for a decent price. Once I downloaded Sunflower and sorted out the settings it works well at recording internet audio sources. Definitely recommended.

So far the program has worked well and is ideal when I have to create a quick voice-over. It has a full range of effects from compression to EQ and limiting. I titled this review "room for improvement" because I would love to see the app designers build presets into all of the effect options. Coming from Adobe Audition, it can be frustrating to see so many presets built into the effects in that program but not have a starting point to work with the effects in Vector 2. I plan to keep using it, though, and hope to see more functionality built in soon!

I use this to record a series of words and generate word files for an iPhone/iPad application. It works great and even though I do not understand the edit features I have been able to generate word files with close to the same sound level. I see that both a bulk export and leveling feature is listed in the "new features" I have not tested them, but those are the exact features that I need! The only other feature that I would add to my wish list is some way to work on a group of files at one time (a batch process perhaps). It is a product that is good value and is a 5 star product.

This is the app for no nonsense editing. Very easy to transfer. Very pleased so far.
